Here’s ‘AutoCAD Tutorial to Insert an Excel Spreadsheet into an AutoCAD Drawing quickly’ that will step by step explain an easy way to add any amount of a spreadsheet you want into your AutoCAD drawing:
- Open Excel and highlight the cells that you want to insert into your drawing.
- Make sure you don’t select the upper left corner between the row and column designators,
- Only the individual cells!
- Right-click and pick Copy from the popup list.
- Return to your drawing file in AutoCAD and from the Edit menu choose Paste Special.
- In the dialogue box select AutoCAD entities and pick OK.
- You can now paste the cells where ever you like.
- The process is so easy that the linking ability doesn’t even need to be evoked.
